Parents/Guardians the forecast is showing weather that will be above 10 degrees tomorrow. Students will be going outdoors for recess times once again. Please ensure they bring proper cold weather clothing for outside activities.
Parents/Guardians please plan on attending our Cross Country interest meeting on Tuesday February 18, 2025 at 4:00pm in the Helena Flats library. Helena Flats Girls Basketball practice is cancelled Tuesday 2/4/2025. Please pick the students when school lets out.
Parents and guardians, we wanted to reach out to get your assistance with maintaining proper safety and security procedures at our school. For visitor entry please buzz the main office to gain entry to the building between 8:30am-3:30pm. Check in with main office staff to verify identity prior to receiving a visitor badge when visiting someone at the school.
For the time prior to 8:30am parent/guardians please drop off students to the front entrance and staff greeters will ensure they get to the proper location. Please schedule parent-teacher meetings in advance. If a parent/guardian needs to notify staff of something immediately, the main office staff will check in with the teacher whether they have time to meet or if the parent can send alternate communication such as an email. If a teacher can make time for an impromptu meeting the main office will issue a visitor badge. School administration can also meet with parents for any immediate concerns. Thank you for helping our teachers since the time prior to the school day is important for teacher preparation to accept students at the start of the school day.
For school drop off/pick up please use proper entrance and exit lanes as well as designated parking. Please do not park by the fence around the Elementary side of the school. This can block traffic coming out or entering when cars back out/pull out to the road from that area. Winter weather is here, and we hope to expedite this time period safely for everyone's benefit.

The Helena Flats Book Fair is taking place in our school library 2/10/2025-2/14/2025 from 8:00-8:30am and 3:30-4:00pm daily. Students will also have an opportunity to visit the book fair during the school day. It is a great opportunity to support literacy. Please review the attached letter for more information.
We had the opportunity to celebrate Mrs. Holloway's 4th grade class and Mrs. Barber's 5th grade class at our most recent Helena Flats School Board meeting. They are really doing some wonderful things in their classes. Students are problem solving and team building to do their absolute best. We have some great teachers and students!

Dear Parents/Guardians: As a reminder there is no school on Monday 1/20/25. It is looking like the weather is getting colder here in Montana. We are noticing some students are still arriving to school without essential cold weather clothing. We attached a visual to assist with school expectations. Please ensure they arrive to school prepared and please reach out to us if you need any assistance with these items. Also, please use loading and unloading zones properly during drop off and pick up by pulling forward, not parking in teacher parking or in zones marked red/have diagonal lines.
