HFS is excited to have back Rob and Halladay Quist sharing their Indigenous Voices Heritage Series!

Oral histories of First Peoples are vital traditions of passing down cultural knowledge, stories, and history through the spoken word from generation to generation. They are primary sources that provide firsthand, often different, perspectives on historical events and include creation stories, spiritual teachings, survival information, and community history. Elders are the keepers of these histories, which can be told formally during ceremonies or informally in family settings. Rob and Halladay feel honored to have permission from the tribes to share these stories in song in a performance designed to engage students to help pass on the knowledge from each tribe.

The series will result in a performance on 3/18/26 at 11:50-12:36 in our gym. HFS families of EEK-4th graders are invited to the audience. We look forward to sharing this experience with all who are able.

Helena Flats Families, a Cross Country meeting was held last week for our upcoming season. Please make sure to fill out all athletic forms and turn them into the main office prior to the start of the season. The forms can be found on our website or at the main office. Helena Flats Families, if your child has missed 10 or more days this school year we sent a letter in an envelope home with them as an attendance update. It is our hope to partner with you to help increase student attendance which also helps student achievement. Please be on the lookout for an attendance letter. Thank You for assisting us with this. It takes a village to raise a child :-)
